GENERAL CONDITIONS & RULES OF PROCEDURE
B&B and cottage ‘Domaine de Rasigous’
June 2021 – last revision dated 23 June 2023

We welcome you to ‘Domaine de Rasigous’ and ask you to take notice of our ‘General conditions & house rules’.

 

  1. General

These conditions apply to all guests of ‘Domaine de Rasigous’, 2217 Route de Revel, 81290 Saint-Affriques-les-Montagnes, France.
The owners of ‘Domaine de Rasigous’ are Joost Van der Straeten and Tine Geerinck.
After sending the booking confirmation, the ‘General conditions and house rules’ enter into force (see point 4).
Guests at ‘Domaine de Rasigous’ must comply with the general conditions and house rules, which can be consulted on our website and in the accommodation.
The owners may deny access to ‘Domaine de Rasigous’ immediately in the event of a breach of the general conditions, or internal rules and regulations or in the event of inappropriate behaviour. This shall be without further notice and without refund of the accommodation fee.

 

  1. B&B and cottage ‘Domaine de Rasigous’

The accommodation is described on the website www.domainederasigous.fr
This website is composed with the greatest care, but there might be differences between the text, pictures and the actual situation of ‘Domaine de Rasigous’ during your stay.
No rights can be derived by the guests from such differences.
Pets are unfortunately not allowed.
The accommodation has been made as accessible as possible for people with a physical disability. Please contact us if you have any questions about the facilities that are available. We will do our best to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

 

  1. Rates

You can find the current rates on our website www.domainederasigous.fr
The rates of ‘Domaine de Rasigous’ are without engagement and subject to changes in price and obvious errors.
B&B: rates include breakfast, gas, water, electricity and heating.
A tourist tax is charged.
High season starts on 1 May and ends 31 October, with a minimum stay of 3 nights.
Out of season, holidays and weekends, there is a minimum stay of 2 nights.
On the confirmation of your reservation you will find the corresponding final rate that was valid on the date of confirmation.
We recommend taking out cancellation and/or travel insurance to avoid any discussions.

 

  1. Reservation and confirmation

The reservation can only be made in writing or via the website. No booking fee will be charged.
Upon receipt of your booking request, ‘Domaine de Rasigous’ will send a definitive confirmation by e-mail. At that moment, the ‘General conditions and rules of procedure’ enter into force.
After payment of the deposit, the reservation is final for both parties.

 

  1. Payment

After confirmation of your booking by ‘Domaine de Rasigous’, You pay the total amount to ‘Domaine de Rasigous’ in one payment.
If you have not paid the total amount in one instalment, or by advance payment, the outstanding amount must be paid into our bank account one month before arrival, mentioning our reference.
Drinks, picnic baskets, table d’hôtes dinner and other costs should be paid in cash before departure. You will find the costs on a list in the dining room or in your room at ‘Domaine de Rasigous’.
If you visit us and stay the night, you will receive your bill on the spot and you can pay in cash.
Business guests always receive an invoice. Private guests can also ask for this.
‘Domaine de Rasigous’ does not accept credit cards, cheques, cash cards or any other on site.

 

  1. Cancellation / No-Show

If you are unable to use your room(s) due to circumstances, you have to notify us as soon as possible so we can offer the vacated rooms to others. We do not refund reservations. However, you can rebook the reserved period to another period, within the year from when your arrival was planned. If you rebook to a more expensive period and or stay, the difference will be charged.

 

  1. Arrival and departure

On the day of arrival you are welcome on our domain between 5 PM and 6 PM.
Please inform us by phone if you are arriving at a later hour.
For identification purposes we will ask you to show your passport or identity card.
You will receive a key which we ask you to return to us before departure.
On the day of departure we would like to say goodbye before 10 AM.
Deviations from the above times are only possible after consultation.
In case of premature departure there will be no refund.

 

  1. B&B breakfast

Breakfast is included in the accommodation costs. If you do not use breakfast we cannot deduct any discount.
Breakfast will be ready for you in the dining room between 8 AM and 9.30 AM. If the weather allows it, breakfast will be served on the terrace. If you want to have breakfast earlier this is only possible after consultation.

 

  1. The stay

Noise nuisance between 10 PM and 8 AM must be avoided. This applies not only to the accommodation itself, but also to the terrace. We kindly ask to be considerate of our other guests.
Radio, TV and other sources of sound must not disturb other guests.

The pool is open from 9 AM to 6 PM.
It is not allowed to leave child(ren) alone at the swimming pool.
At the swimming pool, children must always be supervised by their parents.
Please be careful not leave to your child(ren) alone on the domain either, as there is a pond only a short distance away.
It is not allowed to bring glass or food to the swimming pool.
We have installed a coffee and tea corner in the rooms. We ask you to make use of this and not to bring your own drinks. We also provide (at an extra charge) a filled mini bar.
There is free WIFI in the rooms and the cottage. Pleas ask us for the password. The use of the internet and personal devices during the rental period is the sole responsibility of the guests. Illegal downloading is prohibited, as well as objectionable, immoral activities via the net.
Possible visitors of guests are not allowed on ‘Domaine de Rasigous’ without permission, unless in agreement.
Use of the sauna is on reservation, with an extra charge and at your own risk. The sauna is not allowed for children under the age of 12.
Guests must comply with the operation instructions.

 

  1. Restaurant

All year round we serve our table d’hôtes dinner on request. Please book at least 24 hours in advance.
We do not serve alcohol to people under the age of 18.

 

  1. Safety and environment

Guests must follow all safety and environmental standards of ‘Domaine de Rasigous’.
Parking is free of charge on the designated parking space.
Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the accommodation. You can smoke outside in the designated area. We kindly ask you not to throw cigarette butts on the ground. In case evidence of smoking is found in the room, a cleaning fee of €150 will be charged. In case the fire alarm goes off due to smoking in the room, you will be charged the call-out fee of the fire brigade.
We kindly ask you to treat the furniture with respect during your stay.
Report any suspicious persons or activities to us immediately.
Because of the fire hazard, open fires and candles are not allowed.
The entire accommodation is suitable for sleeping a maximum of 12 guests.
The property is accessible 24 hours a day during your stay.

 

  1. Liability

We cannot be held responsible for any personal injury resulting from your stay at our accommodation, nor can we be held responsible for damage, loss or theft of our guests’ property. In case of disputes, all (legal) costs are to be borne by the guests.
All risks related to a stay at ‘Domaine de Rasigous’ are to be borne by the guests.
In case of breakage or theft, please inform us immediately.
In case of loss of keys of ‘Domaine de Rasigous’, the cost will be charged.
‘Domaine de Rasigous’ is not responsible for disturbances in and around the accommodation, such as power cuts, water supplies, technical installations, construction work and road works in the vicinity of the domain which have not been announced or which have been announced late.

 

  1. Complaints, differences of opinion

Complaints must be resolved together, so please bring them to us in good time. Only in this way can we solve them in all fairness.

 

  1. Force majeure

In the event of force majeure, both permanent and temporary, the owners will be entitled to dissolve the agreement in whole or in part or to temporarily suspend it without the guest(s) being able to claim performance and/or compensation.
Force majeure includes, but is not be limited to: danger of war, war, insurrection, molestation, strikes, boycotts, disruptions in the energy circuit, in traffic or transport, government measures, scarcity of raw materials, natural disasters, and furthermore all circumstances, exceptional weather conditions, death of one of the owners or close family members etc., under which full or partial compliance with the agreement cannot reasonably be required of the owners.

 

  1. Privacy

The owners will treat any personal information provided or known to them as confidential and will not make it available to third parties.
